Nacap is opgericht in de jaren zestig. Het hoofdkantoor bevindt zich in Nederland. Nacap werkt wereldwijd en is met name actief in Europa, Midden Oosten, Azië en Australië. Nacap realiseert grootschalige pijpleidingsystemen inclusief compressorstations, meet- en regelstations. Verder onderhoudt ze distributienetwerken voor gas, water en elektriciteit.

Engineering, procurement, construction, management en onderhoud behoren tot de competenties.

Nacap is wereldwijd lid van een aantal vakorganisaties zoals International Pipeline and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA), de International Gas Union en de International Society of Trenchless Technology.
